ABSTRACT
This article reports that the rpogram of work designed to look at the future of the Institute of Logistics and Transport (ILT), put in hand by the ILT Council last May 2001, was presented to the council at its meeting in London, England on October 4, 2001. It formed the central item of the agenda and was discussed in committee and in a series of breakoput groups during the day. The issues were explained in a joint presentation by the chairman of the institute, Alan G. Waller, and the institute's chief executive, Graham A. Ewer. Following the presentations, council members then considered the issues laid before them in full council and in breakout groups, concluding by approving progress to date, and directing that the Council Plan Steering Group stay in place to complete full proposals of the faculties and regions.
