ABSTRACT
This article reports on the conference attended by members of the Environment Special Interest Group of the Institute of Logistics and Transport. Several questions were reviewed during the conference. What are the current and future environmental issues concerning developments in government policy and action? How can firms best operate within an ever dynamic climate and legislation and pressure to conform? How are some of the leading logistics operators in Great Britain tackling road congestion, fuel efficiency and waste minimization? Delegates from a broad variety of backgrounds gathered to partake in the review of these questions and possible solutions, and their significance on logistics operations.
