ABSTRACT
Information on the Annual Conference and Exhibition of the Institute of Logistics and Transport, which will be held in Birmingham, England on June 13-15, 2001, were provided. It has been designed to allow industry professionals to evaluate what steps have to be taken to gain maximum advantage from the fast-moving situation. On the afternoon of June 13, conference delegates will have the choice of one of three industrial visits. On the first evening there is an informal event bringing delegates, speakers and exhibitors together in a relaxed atmosphere, prior to the commencement of the next day's business sessions. On the morning of June 14, Bill Zeh, vice president for logistics of the EMI Recorded Music, will open the conference. Throughout the day, delegates will break out into several concurrently running streams covering several topics. Conference day two will take delegates back into streams which will cover public transportation-related issues.
