ABSTRACT
The article reports that an agreement with European Union competition commissioner Mario Monti means that Rupert Murdoch's satellite television company British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB) and the English Premier League have had to make concessions over the sale of live soccer matches. BSkyB will hand over the live broadcasting rights for eight topflight English soccer matches to a terrestrial channel starting with the 2004-05 season as part of the deal. The Premier League has committed to significant changes to its media rights policy for its 2004-05 season, Monti said in Strasbourg, France
