ABSTRACT
This article identifies the main features of the analysis British observers made of the Spanish Armed Forces during the Franco dictatorship and the first moments of the Transition. The British were far more distant than their American and French counterparts. British views seem to be far more accurate. Reference is made to a group of dissident Spanish military (UMD).
