ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the concept of strategic risk and how it can devastate share price. Pattern recognition is an innovative approach to identifying risk. The author believes business trends are shaped by patterns and a trained eye can spot them and exploit them profitably. The authors identify patters such as Customer patterns, Knowledge patterns, and Organizational patterns. An example of knowledge patterns is the partnership between Wal-Mart and Proctor & Gamble.
