ABSTRACT
For several years, the State and University Library Bremen has been committed to the digitisation of historically valuable library collections. It belongs to the genuine tasks of a modern scientific library to see to the digital transformation of its collections and to place them in the internet for up-to-date use as well as to develop competences in the area of digitisation. Moreover, as a university library, it is committed to the scientific research located in Bremen, and digitisation projects relevant for research are often promoted by the German Research Foundation. The following article presents the results of the digitisation works at the SuUB Bremen in the years 2011 to 2016.
