The SUB Hamburg has been digitising Hamburg's cultural heritage for ten years. The focus is on core collections regarding state history and regional studies, the special collections and physically endangered collections. Together with the university and other institutions, further culturally and scientifically important collections are selected for digital transformation. The SUB develops actively its workflow and presentation platform Kitodo within the consortium. The regional portal HamburgWissen Digital, run cooperatively by the SUB, centralises the research for digital resources concerning the city state's history. The central future perspective is to offer exactly the digital services needed by scientists and the public.
