ABSTRACT
The article discusses the sale of business enterprises with particular focus on Tyco International Ltd. Dennis Kozlowski, chairman and chief executive officer. Kozlowski revealed in an interview that Tyco keeps a list of 30 companies that it is considering acquiring which demonstrates that merger and acquisition (M&A) deals are not products of circumstance and fortune but corporate strategies to achieve a certain goal for the company. Companies wishing to sell are more effective when preparing a strategy in which they compare possible buyers and the advantages of certain partnerships.
