ABSTRACT
The article reports on the professional skills needed by financial executives. It is essential that financial professionals possess the ability to collaborate in a work environment with those people who do not come from an accounting background. Accountemps, a staffing division of Robert Half International Inc., conducted research on the interpersonal skills that are the most valuable for accounting professionals by surveying chief financial officers (CFO). The most important skill, with 38% of CFOs voting for it, is a positive attitude.
