ABSTRACT
The article discusses corporate privacy policy, the changing regulatory environment in the United States, and standards for protecting the personal data of consumers. Legislation such as the Children On Line Privacy Protection Act, Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act, and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999 are mentioned.
