The article reports on the benefits of leasing with information technology strategies and assets. Leasing, instead of purchasing, gains a company certain business advantages such as affordable access to technological innovations, an increase in cash flow, tax savings, and credit lines. Data collected by the Equipment Leasing Association has found that over 80% of U.S. companies lease some, if not all of their equipment. Gartner Group Inc.'s 2000 report found that over 50% of information technology equipment is leased. INSET: Why Lease IT?.
