ABSTRACT
The article presents a profile of David A. Young; the chief financial officer of Adaptec Inc. Young has been appointed the chairman of the Financial Executive Institute (FEI) at 57-years-old. He has been a member of the FEI since 1989 when he became president of one of their chapters. He wants to be a part of corporate boards as an audit committee member so that the FEI can have a member as a financial expert with such a service. He has served as a chief executive officer with some high technology firms in both the packaging and chemical industries.
