Information Builders has partnered with Netegrity, a provider of identity and access management solutions, to integrate WebFOCUS 5.2 with Netegrity SiteMinder technology. Netegrity SiteMinder relieves users from remembering numerous identifications and passwords and helps system administrators more easily control user access to sensitive applications throughout the enterprise. This version of WebFOCUS also offers new business intelligence capabilities in the areas of data navigation, graphical user interface, report visualization, and geographic mapping. The integration of WebFOCUS 5.2 with the SiteMinder single sign-on capability furthers customers' ability to truly standardize on one business intelligence platform across an organization. The integration of WebFOCUS with SiteMinder is intended to help companies to securely implement an enterprise-wide business intelligence technology while properly managing user access and role privileges. WebFOCUS 5.2 has new graph defaults and styling options, a resource layout environment offering interdependent filters that simplify report development and umpteen drill-down capabilities that allow the user to navigate to many different reports, locations, or applications from a single item within a report.
