ABSTRACT
Results on [sup103–107]In strength function measurements are presented. The domination of the core (πg[sub9/2])[sup8] over the valence proton decay is confirmed. Contribution of a βp decay channel to the total β strength function of 0.5% and 43% for [sup102]In and [sup100]In, respectively, is expected based on the B[subGT] systematics, available βp spectra and statistical model calculations

Proton radioactivity of 117La, was measured with much improved statistics, but no evidence is observed for the isomeric proton decay. Prompt γ-rays were identified in proton emitters 117La, 151Lu, and beta-delayed proton precursor 117Ba using recoil decay tagging method by coupling the...

$\beta$ -decay spectroscopy on a Tz = - 2 proton-rich nucleus 24Si was performed. The decay scheme of 24Si was reconstructed by the $\beta$ -delayed $\gamma$ -ray and proton measurements. Two $\beta$ branches to the bound 11+ and 12+ states in 24Al were observed for the first time. The...

The proton decay of a deformed nucleus which undergoes shape modifications during the emission process is investigated through the use of the TDSE approach developed recently. Qualitative and illustrative preliminary calculations are presented for high-energy excited states in [sup58]Cu....

Proton decay half-lives can be calculated reliably using the idea of simple tunnelling probabilities within a WKB model. Just as simple, but much more intuitive is the approach of Gurvitz and Kalbermann of splitting the tunnelling potential into internal (bound state) and external (scattering...

It is shown that the multiparticle theory of proton radioactivity (MTPR), based on the integral formulae for proton widths, has sufficiently high accuracy and totality for description of deep subbarrier proton decay of nuclei. The theoretical scheme of calculation for proton widths of odd-odd...

The time-dependent approach to calculate half-lives for proton-emitting nuclei is reviewed. Doubts about the practicability of this new method are eliminated by showing that it directly leads to the main observable (the average decay rate), that the result does not depend on the prescription...

Precisely measured ft values of Jπ = 0+ → 0+ β decays of isospin T = 1 nuclei are used to set stringent limits on physics beyond the standard model. In order to use the measured ft values for these purposes, one must first apply theoretical corrections for isospin-symmetry-breaking...

• Spectroscopy Of β-delayed Charged Particles At Projectile Fragment Separators. Janas, Zenon // AIP Conference Proceedings;2000, Vol. 518 Issue 1, p255

The combination of projectile fragmentation reactions and in-flight separation has proved to be a powerful tool to produce nuclei at the limits of stability. Decay studies of very neutron-deficient projectile fragments led to the discovery of several new β-delayed particle emitters. Basic...
