ABSTRACT
The article describes the nature, purpose and objectives of the effectiveness audit. Given the foreign experience and domestic realities of organization of the state financial control, the necessity of introduction of effectiveness audit, as a progressive form of the state financial control is justified, and also problems and prospects of his adoption in Ukraine are defined.
