ABSTRACT
The article discusses the use of Bacillus and Lactobacillus as probiotics on the culture performance of portunid crab larviculture. Topics include the focus on probiotics as safe option for the environment to control the increase of diseases, the various types of probiotics such as Pseudomonas, Acinetobacter and Cellulomonas and the impact of the use of Bacillus in aquaculture for the promotion of health and growth rates of cultured animals.
