ABSTRACT
The article discusses the status of aquaculture in Zanzibar Islands, Tanzania including the different types of marine organisms, including the seaweeds, marine finfishes and bivalve shellfish. Topics include the history of production of the seaweed farming in 1970s, the number of animals aquaculture farmers in the country and the increase of aquaculture production.
