Reports on the branch meeting of the members of the Merseyside and Warrington branch of the Institute of Logistics and Transport, which was held in 2000. During the meeting the road transportation policy of the Isle of Man was reviewed. Included in the review was the work of the Department of Transport, and to explain the work of the department the group had, as their speaker, Bruce Hannay. The provisions of the proposed Road Transport Bill, now making its way through its administrative and consultation stages, attracted the particular interest of the local audience.This legislation will introduce new systems of regulation for commercial road passenger and goods transport.
