ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the link between the Royal Air Force (RAF) College in Great Britain and the Institute of Logistics and Transport (ILT). Officers of the RAF of the supply branch enjoy the benefits of membership throughout their careers, using the institute as a source of continuing professional development. The Department of Specialist Ground Training at the college takes a through-life approach to the training of its Supply Officers and is an approved center for institute qualifications. The Intermediate Logistics Management Course is designed for experienced officers of the Supply and Engineer Branches who will move on to demanding appointments in operational and logistics headquarters. Officers who have passed the Intermediate Logistics Management Course and completed a few more years' service are eligible to apply for chartered membership of the ILT.
