ABSTRACT
This article reports on the 2000 College Logistics Awards presentation held at the East Berkshire College for its Institute of Logistics and Transport's Certificate and Diploma students. These students were the first to go through the college's new Certificate and Diploma program. Claire Milne, the one responsible for managing the program start-up, explains that there is a strong need for trained logistics personnel, and that her team is developing new courses to meet that demand. Students celebrating their awards included Nigel Upton, Tude Songonuga, Bernard Magee, Caroline Piercy, David Powell, Karen Patrick, Tim Dixon, Dave Burchett, Steve Buckingham, Keith Fulbrook, Scott Macsween and Mawgan Wilkins.
