ABSTRACT
Surrey County Council is to train 7,000 employees as part of an IT project and it will generate savings of £50m. It has partnered with IBM Corp. to implement mySAP enterprise planning software and develop a shared service center. The council will use its internal team to provide classroom training to staff. Any additional tuition will be supplied by IBM. The council expects to see a return on investment in three to five years.
