This article reports that the Sharp Electronics Corp. is pushing up speed and volume in the printer-copier stakes with its new AR 651 and 810 models. Flexibility comes with speeds of 65 and 81 pages per minute respectively. These two models come at the top end of a range which the company has been unveiling in 2002. Both models can hold up to 7,600 sheets and can finish up to 4,000 sheets in one go, reducing the amount of user intervention required. Both can print onto heavier paper than most general purpose copiers and they have a tab print facility to add typed headings directly onto tabbed dividers. Both models come with a print controller using EFI technology such as is already available with the color products of the company.
