The article provides information on the technological products offered by Sharp. Scan and Find is an electronic storage and retrieval system in which one can ignore the SME in the title. This is applicable to all but the big centralized document management applications. It enables all documents put into it to be filed electronically at one button-touch. Documents are scanned, automatically indexed and saved on the server and retrieval is via keyword searches. Sharp attends to document management at the personal computer level with Sharpdesk 3.0, a new version of its mature offering. This is a development of the software providing a personal scanned image and electronic file management function allowing browsing, searching, sorting and sharing contents. And if security is a concern alongside document management, Sharp has launched SharpSecure, combining into one easy-use solution their data security kit and secure network interface card.
