ABSTRACT
The Mark Morris Dance Group, Ballet Hispanico, and Alley II, which showcases some of the best young dancers of Alvin Ailey Dance Co., are among the recipients of a $2 million, three-year contribution by the MetLife Foundation to fund national tours of leading dance groups across America. According to a statement accompanying the announcement, the contribution will help to bring over 400 performances to some 200 cities nationwide. MetLife's fiscal largesse has been made to directly support its Dance for Life initiative, the instrument that helps to fund the national tours.
