ABSTRACT
This article focuses on what students of Fairfax High School Los Angeles, California are reading these days. This journal, Literacy Cavalcade, had an online chat with the students on their reading habits. One girl admitted to reading Naked Lunch by the writer William S. Burroughs. Another girl said she was reading The Color Purple by the writer Alice Walker and Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. One boy was reading The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck and he had already read The Stranger by Albert Camus.
