ABSTRACT
This article reports that the department of specialist ground training at the Royal Air Force (RAF) College Cranwell held its annual awards dinner at the end of March 2002, during which the supply prize, sponsored by the Institute of Logistics and Transport, was presented to flying officer Heather Millar. The principal guest for the evening was air commodore Peter Whalley. During his presentation speech, he paid particular tribute to the work of the Professional Development Department of the institute on linking training carried out at the college to the institute's qualificfations, and also establishing clear routes to chartered membership for RAF personnel. The supply prize is awarded annually to the student who achieves the highest standard in professional studies during supply officer training that year. The prize consists of a silver trophy, a certificate and a check for 40 pounds to purchase books of choice.
