ABSTRACT
This article provides information on the Logistics Convention of the Institute of Logistics and Transport which will be held at the Birmingham International Convention Center on June 25-26, 2002. The theme of the convention focuses on the big picture developments in logistics and the supply chain, and features a range of world-class speakers offering a unique opportunity to learn from the experience of others, as well as an excellent chance to network with fellow professionals throughout the two days. The convention will open with a keynote presentation by John Neill. Following the keynote speech, delegates will have the opportunity to attend one of two concurrent tracks. presentations will be made by Adrian Payne, Alistair Williamson, Robin Gordon, Edward Roderick, Steve Bolton, David Santhouse, Bob Faichnie, Mike Bernon, and Ron Aspinall. To conclude the first day the institute has brought into the convention the Logistics Debate 2002. The second day of the event will be opened by Alan G. Waller. Again after the keynote speech, delegates will have the choice of two concurrent tracks. Presentations will be made by John Allan, Charles Hampden-Turner, Patrick Butler, David Kirkwood, Peter Brown, Phil Barnett and Simon Duddy. Running concurrently with the convention, at the same venue, is the institute's annual exhibition of equipment and services for supply chain professionals.
