This section of the periodical "Logistic and Transport Focus," provides career development-related news regarding some of the members of the Institute of Logistics and Transport. Jeremy Meal has been promoted to director of ticketing and smart card strategies by his company MVA. Julian Maturi, managing director of the Palletways company, has led a management but-out of the company. Chris Ferrary is joining consultants Steer Davies Gleave as a principal, strengthening the company's capabilities in sustainability appraisal, environmental impact assessment and environmental management. Ian Newton has become area manager for the Business Express company. Ali Karim has joined tanker vehicle specialist Interoute Transport Services as operations director of its Chemicals and Gases division. David Bhidey has been appointed operations director for the Interoute company's food division.
