ABSTRACT
This article reports that the Transaid, the preferred international charity of the transport industry of Great Britain, has launched in practical transport management manual which is intended to help anyone involved with running a non-profit fleet of vehicles in a developing country. A grant from the Exel Foundation has enabled 2,000 manuals to be printed, 400 of which have already been distributed to a total of 27 separate countries worldwide. The first recipients have included government departments of health, education and welfare, and also other charities involved in similar projects abroad. The manual is also available to headquarters of charities in Great Britain, Europe and the U.S., as well as to universities.
