ABSTRACT
This article presents information on study and research grants available to all members of the Institute of Logistics and Transport worldwide and on study and research grants available only to members in Great Britain, as of May 2000. Applicants for the Henry Spurrier Travelling Scholarships must be employed in, or in connection with, road transport. Up to 2,000 pounds a year is provided, by the National Port Employers' Fund, for the study of ports and port operations. The John F. Hooper bursaries are given to assist people wishing to undertake distance learning study for the diploma in transport of the institute. The grants offered to members of the institute in Great Britain are the Robert Bell Travelling Scholarship, the CMUA Road Transport Research Fellowship, the Sir William Chamberlain Award, the John Gilbraith Award, and the Metropolitan Branch Bursary.
