This article looks at the actions needed to be taken with regard to the reorganization and success of a company after a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. The author discusses the significance of determining which employees can be helpful in achieving the new business strategy and what this means to the future financial performance of the organization. The author notes that the pre-filing period is often the time that ultimately determines the success of the company after the reorganization. The author also examines the incentives offered during the pre-filing and post-filing phase of the bankruptcy as well as some of the concerns regarding the compensation and benefits of management people during a reorganization.
