ABSTRACT
This article looks at how to make best use of the service offered by recruitment consultants. The job seeker needs to do his job and have a clear understanding of what he or she has to offer and what type of position he or she is looking for. There is a wide choice of agencies but it is usually best to focus on a few and preferably the specialist agencies which deal with one's particular area of professional interest. It is useful to ask whether the agency is a member of any of the professional associations serving the recruitment sector. It is essential for the job seeker to include all possible forms of contact. Any fees should be paid by the recruiting company. It is important not to treat an interview with a recruitment consultant as unimportant.
