ABSTRACT
This article describes grants and scholarships that are available to all members of the Institute of Logistics and Transport worldwide, as of April 2002. Applicants for the Henry Spurier Travelling Scholarships, assayed be employed in, or intend to be employed in, or in connection with, road transport. Up to 2,000 pounds a year is provided under the National Port Employers' Fund for the study of ports and port operations, with similar conditions to those of the Henry Spurrier Travelling Scholarships. A maximum of 500 pounds is given to help fund the cost of overseas travel undertaken to observe other countries' railway operations under the Robert Bell Travelling Scholarships. The purpose of the CMUA Road Transport Research Fellowship is to enable the recipient to travel overseas in order to research and report on an issue in road transport which will be of interest, or value to operators in Great Britain.
