ABSTRACT
Presents parliamentary-related developments in the area of transportation in Great Britain, as of April 2002. The Transport Sub-Committee of the Transport, Local Government and the Regions Committee started, on February 18, 2002, an inquiry into the factors behind the decision to approve the Public-Private Partnership for the London Underground system. The Transport Sub-Committee of the Transport, Local Government and the Regions Committee continues, as of February 6, 2002, its inquiry into the ten-year plan of the government for transport. On February 1, 2002, the Transport Sub-Committee of the Transport, Local Government and the Regions Committee announced its decision to conduct an inquiry into the ports in England and Wales.
