This article describes the WWW.firesmart.co.uk Web site of the Firesmart Ltd. It is a new online risk assessment service which can help solve a potentially disastrous problem for logistics businesses and managers. It provides an online fire risk assessment enabling users to achieve legal compliance for a specific amount per site. According to the company, a fire risk assessment is not the same as fire certification. It is a process that requires a responsible individual to examine all the sites where people work and identify potential fire hazards. The Web site is driven by a database engine which can also provide a health and safety resource. This feature is said to be of particular value to organizations with multiple sites, such as branch offices or regional warehouses.
