This article focuses on sports utility vehicles (SUV) in the Dubai Motor Show (DMS). BMW are launching the all new X3, and this, only the second SUV the company have brought to market, will be on show at the DMS. Delivery of the model to Middle East markets is anticipated sometime in the first quarter of 2004, and given BMW's brand strength in the Gulf demand is likely to be strong. The anticipated launch of the X3 has drawn a response from Land Rover, Toyota and Nissan who have launched the new Freelander, Rav and X-trail models respectively.
