ABSTRACT
The Bus Working Party of the Institute of Logistics and Transport based in Great Britain has met and taken stock of the main areas where the Institute might be able to provide useful input to the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions' work on the implementation of bus policy. The Rail Working Party has completed a submission to the Rail Regulator in response to his inquiry about the incentive framework for rail investment as part of the ongoing review of Railtrack's track access charges. The Road Pricing Working Party has met and received a presentation on the government's charging proposals in the Transport Bill and on the interests expressed on such schemes within the first round of Local Transport Plans.
