ABSTRACT
The Bus Good Practice Awards were instituted by the Association of Metropolitan Boroughs in 1991. The objectives of the awards are to: provide an opportunity for positive coverage of bus transport in the media; provide incentive to bus company management and staff, local authorities and industry suppliers to adopt good practice in their businesses; provide a forum in which the best practice can receive wider coverage within the industry. The 1999 winners of the Bus Industry Awards include Trent and Barton Buses, First Centre West, Stagecoach Oxford, Go North East and Cambridgeshire County Council.
