ABSTRACT
This article presents a brief outline of the steps a business should take into account when deciding to implement an online negotiation strategy in logistics and support. Some inefficiencies in the existing procurement processes must be identified. This is important in order to determine the cause of inefficiencies, be it the price or process. Businesses must be able to set their objectives, be it for purchase price reduction or for better returns across the entire process. This should be followed by proper appropriations and resource allocation. Providers of electronic procurement should not just focus on technology. An assessment of technological applications must be conducted.
