Michelin has warned customers and distributors to be wary when offered truck tires at extraordinarily low prices. These prices can be a result of activities believed to be value added tax-fraud. Michelin is working with police and customs authorities in Europe for the development of this project. These investigations have already identified organized criminal networks and as a result, a number of value added tax fraud had been broken up. Michelin is concerned at the harm done to its truck.
