ABSTRACT
The key figures of "A Bulletin for Public Transport Statistics: Great Britain 2001," are shown. A wide range of public transport statistics at national and regional level are indicated. The number of bus passenger journeys in England increased by one percent in 2002. London's bus patronage continued to grow, with a four percent increase in 2001-2002. Passenger journeys on light rail systems in England increased by 27 percent. There was an increase in journeys on London Underground in 2000 to 2001. Passenger journeys on the national rail network increased by three percent overall in 2000-2001. Local bus passenger receipts in England rose by two percent.
