ABSTRACT
Storage Network Industry Association members are supporting the Common Interface Model (CIM). Members, which include IBM, Hitachi, Sun Microsystems and Veritas, have announced systems using CIM to make deployment of open storage networks easier from whichever vendor chosen. In line with this, Hitachi has launched its HiCommand device manager for full interoperability with third party storage management clients to successfully discover and visualize management information for Hitachi Freedom Storage systems.
