ABSTRACT
The Centre for Transport Policy at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland has conducted a survey of local authority politicians outside London, England to assess their response to transport policy. The most popular transport policies were those that deal with road humps and other measures to reduce vehicle speeds in residential areas. The survey also found that 85 percent believed that some new road building will be needed in the next five years. Majority of the respondents expected the use of all forms of transport to increase over the next five years and 57 percent expected traffic to worsen.
