ABSTRACT
The article presents the report on the total number of goods vehicles traveling from Great Britain to mainland Europe in the first quarter of 2000. There was an increase of 10,700 in the total number of vehicles in the first quarter of 2000 compared to the last quarter of 1999. There was also an increase in number of powered vehicles and unaccompanied trailers. Comparing the first quarter of 200 and the first quarter of 1999, the report revealed that the total number of vehicles increased by 16 percent, powered vehicles by 14 percent, unaccompanied trailers by 18 percent, and foreign vehicles by 24 percent. In a supplementary report, vehicles registered in Great Britain carried 7.5 million tons of goods out of country and 8.4 million tons into the country in 1999.
