ABSTRACT
A survey featured in 'Personal Today' in 2001 identified several reasons for interim assignments, which include the sudden departure of a key manager, change management and closure or sell-off. The best way to go about finding interim work is to consider some organizations that specialize in interim vacancies. the key to successful relationship is communication. Interim work is normally charged by the day and will be subject to negotiation. Contracts will vary in length and could be anything from one month to 12 months or longer. Interim Management Association is the trade body created to maintain professional and ethical standards in the provision of interim management services.
