ABSTRACT
Dave Reid, Institute Scottish Regional Officer, arranged for several members of the Scottish Branch to accompany him to meet two MSPs at the Scottish Parliament. The Branch Policy Group is currently very active in looking at a number of new policy consultations from the Executive, in particular NPPGs relating to car parking and economic development. The Scottish policy Group has also responded to the consultation on the review of the blue scheme. The Institute of Logistics and Transport agreed that Local Authorities require a Central Government produced "Good Practice Guide" to ensure an effective and equitable administration of the scheme. It would be prudent to ensure that whatever department of Local Authority is made responsible for administering the scheme.
