ABSTRACT
In 2001, the British Government began developing aviation policy for the next 30 years. Responses were sought to its policy consultation document, "The Future of Aviation," which outlined the potential main thrust for aviation policy over the next 30 years. It is likely that the Government will publish its Regional Air Consultations. They will look at aviation around the regions and possible solutions to meeting the capacity crisis that the industry is facing. The Institute of Logistics and Transport's Aviation Working Party will be heavily involved in this and will be the main group steering the Institute's response.
