ABSTRACT
The Institute of Logistics and Transport (ILT) is continuing to support the Energy Efficiency Best Practice Programme advice scheme which is providing good in-roads into employers and an increased awareness of what the institute can offer. Over the past year, the Institute's Director Policies, Jon Harris, has spoken at six workplace travel plan seminars and two school travel plan events, giving technical advice but also promoting the institute to those working in the sector. These events, plus our National Cycling Strategy Roadshows in early 2001, have meant that over 900 professionals in business, local government and consultancy have now heard about the Institute, and here has been a clear thirst for information about individual and Company Friend membership, events and publications.
