ABSTRACT
Great Britain Transport Minister, Lord MacDonald proposed that buses and coaches used on local or scheduled services must be accessible to disabled passengers, including wheelchair users. The proposals are made under the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act of 1995 giving the Government powers to make accessibility regulations for buses, coaches, trains and licensed taxis. Such proposals applies to full-size single-deck buses making them fully accessible to the disabled.
